#Social responsibility is an important theme at Lindtbergh.
Sustainability has been deeply rooted in corporate culture from the very beginning, as Lindtbergh's pioneers were already aware of their responsibility for the environment and society. Today, sustainability is anchored in our business strategy as an important strategic business objective. We are determined to contribute to a positive global change.
We are committed to improving the impact of our products and business practices, preserving the environment for future generations and promoting positive change in our communities. We develop and promote Corporate Responsibility. This program focuses on three main pillars: People, Product and Planet.
The people.
We believe that all people involved in our value chain should be treated fairly and with dignity and respect.
Ensuring that all people in our supply chain are treated fairly and with respect and dignity is something we and our customers appreciate. The ultimate goal is to improve the social and ecological conditions under which our products are produced and distributed. We are convinced that goal can be achieved through close cooperation with our partners.
The product.
We strive to maximize the sustainable character of our products while maintaining the high performance level through innovation, technology and design.
At Lindtbergh, we are constantly working to improve our products by striving for better performing and designed products using the latest technologies. We have also taken a conscious step in making our products more sustainable. Our bicycles are pre-assembled before they reach our customers and shipped in large cardboard boxes. It is simple and easy to recycle most of our packaging materials. Where possible, we also use recycled waste paper and - if necessary for transport - FSC-certified fresh cellulose from sustainably managed forests. We have reduced the use of foil or plastic packaging to an absolute minimum.
The planet.
We take into account that Earth's resources must be used in such a way that ecosystems and future generations are not adversely affected.
An increasing scarcity of raw materials and the enormous negative impact on the environment by humans is a growing global problem. Lindtbergh is therefore fully aware of its responsibility and does not intend to remain on the sidelines when it comes to sustainability.
