General issues
Why choose a Lindtbergh bicycle. At Lindtbergh it is not just the price that counts. Of course it is an important aspect, but not the most important starting point for us. We believe more in the passion to do something. Our daily aim is to design the most reliable electric bicycle, with which you can travel every day with pleasure and a smile.
Can I test drive a Lindtbergh? Of course. We offer every Lindtbergh drive a 30-day money back guarantee. If you do not like the bicycle within that period, we will collect the bicycle from you free of charge and you will receive a refund of the purchase price. The full amount will be returned provided no significant usage damage is found. In that case, a small deduction will be deducted from the purchase amount.
Where can I go for maintenance or inspection? In principle, any bicycle shop can carry out an inspection or general maintenance. Most of the replaceable bicycle parts are easily available commercially and can be repaired or replaced by any bicycle repair shop. If there is something wrong with the brakes, frame, motor or battery, always contact us first. We also offer home service from Lindtbergh. A nationwide repair service can repair or check your Lindtbergh at your home.
Where can you find the frame number on my bicycle? The stamped frame number is generally located near the engine connection, down tube, seat tube or under the bottom bracket bearing. We recommend that you also write down the "F/N" number, as the bicycle can only be identified by this number later. This is also a unique number that is located on the white sticker on the down tube of your bicycle.
Where can I find the article number of my Lindtbergh The invoice you receive from us contains the 7-digit item number. You can also find the item number on the white sticker on the down tube of your bicycle, indicated by the letters "P/N".
Where can I register my Lindtbergh. You can register your Lindtbergh online within 10 weeks of the purchase date. After entering the requested information [completely completed], we will activate the frame warranty, the warranty on our drive systems and the warranty on our batteries. Please note that the warranty only applies to new bicycles and to the first [1st] owner and is not transferable. After sending the registration form, you will receive a confirmation email from us.
Where can I buy a Lindtbergh bicycle. You can buy a Lindtbergh eBike via our webshop on our website. We are busy ensuring that our Lindtbergh bicycles are also available through our own experience centers. We don't sell our bikes through dealers – instead we sell the bike directly to you for unbeatable value for money. We also believe it is important to have direct communication with our customers.
What warranty do you get on a Lindtbergh eBike? On all our Lindtbergh eBikes you receive a warranty on the frame, front fork, drive system, battery and paint. For more information, see our warranty conditions.
Can I buy spare parts from Lindtbergh and to order. No, you cannot order spare parts directly from Lindtbergh. If you have any problems with the battery, drive system, display and frame, please contact us.
eBike and its parts
Which frame size suits me best? It is useful to know which frame suits you best. We strive to offer a suitable frame size for every length.
Can I order my Lindtbergh made to measure and in my favorite color? No, it is not possible to order your bicycle in a specific favorite color. We will come up with special color versions in due course. If that happens to be your favorite color, you're in luck.
What is the maximum weight for a Lindtbergh and how much weight can the seat post handle? The maximum permitted total weight of our bicycles is 150 kg. The permitted total weight is calculated using the following formula: bicycle weight + rider weight + luggage weight = 150 kg The maximum rider weight including backpack for the seat post is approximately 125 kg.
What specifications does my Lindtbergh have. In order to make a good comparison between one brand and another, we think it is important when you buy a Lindtbergh that you know what specifications your bicycle has. On our website you will find the specifications of the chosen bicycle for each Lindtbergh, so that you can compare it with another bicycle or another brand.
Can the handlebars of my bicycle be adjusted in height? All handlebars of the Lindtbergh eBikes are height adjustable. You can adjust your handlebars up to 90 degrees. Because the handlebar is height-adjustable, you can choose whether you want a more sporty or a more comfortable ergonomic [upright] position.
Can I use my Lindtbergh in the rain and in winter? Yes, you can use the system up to temperatures of -10 °C without any problems. It is possible that the range is slightly more limited due to the cold. At very low outside temperatures, we recommend that you charge and store the battery in your home at room temperature. When you go cycling, place the battery directly in the bicycle and cycle away with the assistance set.
Up to what speed does my pedal assistance support? The pedal assistance supports up to a speed of 25 km/h. Pedal above this speed
Lindtbergh also sells children's bicycles and bicycles for youth. Lindtbergh currently does not sell children's or youth bicycles. Because Lindtbergh only sells eBikes and young people generally cycle on a regular bicycle, it currently makes little sense to offer an electric bicycle for this target group.
Can I take my eBike with me on a bicycle carrier on my car, for example when traveling or for work? The easiest way to transport your eBike is with a bicycle carrier on the towbar. Please note that the maximum nose weight of conventional bicycle racks is not always sufficient for the transport of an eBike, because eBikes are considerably heavier than regular bicycles. The maximum nose weight of a towbar is determined by the manufacturer of your car and varies per car. This is usually between 50 or 100 kg. To reduce the weight, it is best to remove the battery and cycle computer before the ride. However, due to the higher weight, you are not allowed to transport your eBike on the roof of the car.
Battery
How many Watt hours [Wh] does my battery have? Our Lindtbergh Enduro eBikes are equipped as standard with a Samsung battery with a 725 Wh battery capacity. This offers you the advantage that you will have an above-average range compared to conventional batteries [standard usually 500 Wh]. Compared to other bicycle suppliers, we are exceptional in this case, in the sense that you get a lot of battery capacity - supported by a powerful motor [80 Nm] - at a very competitive price. The battery and motor largely determine the price of an eBike. Compare for yourself what effect a large battery has on the price.
What is the range of my battery and how can I increase the range. Unfortunately, it is not possible to indicate this with complete precision because it depends on many factors, including support level, your driving behavior, your weight, tire pressure and the surface you are driving on. As a rule of thumb, you can drive approximately 12 to 14 kilometers per 100 Wh in normal use [25 km/h at highest assistance level, moderate wind, without too much effort]. For the Enduro TR this means between 90-100 km. To increase your range, it is best to make approximately 80-90 revolutions per minute and adjust your assistance level [Eco gives a greater range than Sport mode]. For example, when going uphill, do not leave your gear in too heavy a setting, because then the engine has to deliver more power, which is at the expense of the battery.
How do I charge my battery and can I remove the battery from the frame? A separate charger is supplied with your eBike, which you can connect to any 110/220V socket. You can read how full the battery remains on the display on the handlebars of your bicycle – both when charging, when stationary or while driving. With the Vinka systems used, you can also charge the battery directly on the eBike or, if you find this easier, remove it from the frame of the bicycle to charge indoors. If you do not use the battery for a long time, it is best to store it at approximately 60% charge in a dry place at room temperature.
The battery must be completely empty before you can charge it? No. Most batteries contain lithium-ion cells and can be charged at any time for a short or longer period of time. Interrupting the charging procedure does not damage the battery. The battery can be charged at any time, so you always have full capacity for the rest of your ride. This also prevents the battery from wearing out faster.
Feel resistance without a drive system or when you exceed 25 km/h? Our eBikes are available in a version with pedal assistance up to 25 km/h. At a higher speed, the assistance provided by the motor is switched off. However, you can still cycle faster by pressing the pedals harder under your own power, just like with a normal bicycle. Because the weight of an electric bicycle is higher than a regular bicycle, pedaling without pedal assistance will cost a little more energy, but you can still cycle without pedal assistance.
You can get an extra battery pack|range extender with the Lindtbergh. No, Lindtbergh currently does not offer an additional battery pack | range extender on. It could be one of our options, but because our Lindtbergh bicycles have a 725 Wh battery as standard, it is not immediately necessary to extend your range. With the standard battery you have a large range.
If I were to not use my Lindtbergh for an extended period of time, would this affect the battery and capacity. If the electric bicycle is not used for a longer period of time, the battery enters a so-called sleep mode. You can reactivate this by pressing the display. This does not mean that the battery has less capacity or no longer provides support. Do you have problems with your battery after your bike has been standing still for a few days? Please contact a bicycle shop near you. They can check your battery and electric bicycle.
Can I use the battery in the rain and in winter? Yes, you can use the system up to temperatures of -10 °C without any problems. It is possible that the range is [slightly] more limited due to the cold. At very low outside temperatures, we recommend that you charge and store the battery in your home at room temperature. When you go cycling, place the battery directly in the bicycle and cycle away with the assistance set. You can also use the system in the rain without any problems. It is protected against rain and splash water, but not suitable for driving through deep puddles where the motorcycle is submerged. All parts are made waterproof.
Does the lighting still work when the battery is empty? Yes, your lighting continues to work. There is always a residual capacity of energy left in the battery. This energy is more than enough to keep the lights on for several hours. If your battery runs out during a ride, you will remain clearly visible in the twilight or dark and you can always get home safely.
Payment, insurance and leasing
Can I insure my Lindtbergh? Yes, you can choose from different options to insure your Lindtbergh. Your home contents insurance covers theft damage to your bicycle if it is stolen from your home or shed. There are special insurance policies that also reimburse damage caused by accidents, falls or vandalism. Before you take out insurance, first check to what extent your home contents insurance already protects you. If you do not yet have insurance for your eBike, we can recommend our Lindtbergh insurance. In collaboration with Kingpolis, we offer extensive warranty, all-risk and theft insurance for eBikes.
Is it mandatory to take out insurance for my Lindtbergh? Because Lindtbergh supplies eBikes with pedal assistance up to 25 km/h, you are in principle not obliged to take out insurance. However, we do recommend it. You are obliged to take out insurance for an S-Pedelec. The same rules apply to an S-Pedelec as to a moped, so you must have third-party liability insurance.
What should I do if my Lindtbergh is stolen? If the bicycle is stolen: Report the theft to the police. Send us the serial number of your stolen bicycle. This allows us to monitor whether someone tries to use our service with the stolen bicycle. We disable the Bluetooth ID of your bicycle, so that the thief cannot use the electrical assistance of your Lindtbergh.
What are the advantages of leasing a Lindtbergh. One of the advantages of leasing an eBike is the tax benefit. You pay the lease amount for your eBike entirely from your gross income. This gives you an advantage, because your taxable gross income is lower. If you lease an eBike through your employer, you can also use it for unlimited private use.
How does the payment process work? Since we only receive direct payments, the process after sending your order depends on the payment method you have chosen. In simple terms it goes like this: order sent → order confirmation sent → payment made → proforma invoice sent → bike sent → invoice sent. The process depends on payment method Direct payments such as credit card, PayPal, Ideal, Giropay, SOFORT or EPS do not require a waiting period, which is why you will receive a proforma invoice by email immediately after payment. This proforma invoice confirms that the order has been processed by Lindtbergh and that the payment has been successful.
Can you lease a Lindtbergh? Leasing an eBike works the same as leasing a car. You pay a monthly amount to use the eBike and can purchase it after the contract period ends. You can choose from various options for leasing an eBike. You can lease an eBike privately or through your employer. The leasing process differs per leasing provider. Once your order has been shipped through your leasing provider, we will upload it to the appropriate portal. You will then not receive a quote and you do not have to upload it yourself. The order must then be confirmed by your employer, make sure this is done within 30 days.
