However, most problems can be prevented by having maintenance carried out once a year.

Why regular maintenance is required.

Regular maintenance of your bicycle is essential to extend the life of the bicycle and its components, keep them running smoothly for longer and reduce the time it takes to replace them.

If you continue to cycle with a bicycle that shows a lot of wear, a domino effect will occur over time. More and more bicycle parts are becoming damaged, resulting in expensive repair costs.

A good example of this is your necklace. If you replace your chain before it wears out, you probably won't need to replace your cassette and chainrings. A heavily worn chain, on the other hand, causes excessive wear on cassettes and chainrings and these will need to be replaced almost at the same time. That is why regular maintenance is not only beneficial for your own safety on the bike, but also saves you a lot of money in the long term. Moreover, a well-maintained bicycle rides wonderfully and ensures that you can hit the road without any worries. Bicycle maintenance services vary from bicycle repair shop to bicycle repair shop. Below you will find a general overview of what the different maintenance levels can entail.

Lindtbergh recommends that you check your bike regularly. This increases safety before you start cycling.
We recommend that you check your bike once every 14 days or when you are going on a long bike ride. This check takes into account the most important moving parts, starting with the front wheel and the rear wheel. When tightening bolts, pay attention to the correct tightening torque; this is indicated on the part or in your user manual/manual.
